Action Items

Asha ME, Emily A, Rehnuma (Science)

  • Created set screw holes to tighten centrifuge pieces to shafts - do we have heat set inserts still?

  • Created locking mechanism for test tubes

  • Made new funnels

  • Made a pi cam mount - still need webcam mount

  • Going into the bay this weekend to implement changes

Mathieu H, Austin, Rehnuma (Arm)

  • Wrist issue has more or less been diagnosed (looks like we may be able to get away with light machining fixes to adjust fit)

  • Wrist disassembled and fixes are in progress

  • 3d print for wrist cam and tooling bit will be adjusted soon (sry)

Jasmine M, Austin, Ethan (E-box)

  • Made all last minute updates, please review drafting channel post

  • New BOM

  • More connectors ordered

  • Design review soon then we can send it

  • Need to update interior layout and some printed components, but wont affect the ebox frame for fab whatsoever

Haseeb (LED board mount encoder mounts design for drivetrain)

  • In progress, finalized design.

  • Ethan wants to change the PCB, so its less heavy, so I am gonna do that.

  • Will also be adding actual Encoder as well to CAD

Emily, Medina, Elizabeth (Harmonic Drive)

  • Prepping lightning talk

Ethan (CAD cleanup)

PLEASE USE PROFILE CENTER FOR FASTENER MATES

PATTERN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE

  • Arm and Main assembly to go

  • Documentation on new standards

  • New standards will be in Google drive > Mechanical > CAD protocols (for now)

MOVE OBSOLETE STUFF TO ARCHIVE

  • To do:

    • new naming scheme

    • Setup file properties

    • Build tests

    • New file templates

    • Update/expand/improve Fastener library - heat set inserts? Shoulder bolts? Appearances? Missing Sizes?

    • Setup config standard (old configs always get messed up)

    • verified/reviewed metadata tag?

    • Improve training

    • Document everything… (move to confluence)

Asha

  • Ansys? -> Tony sent me the contact info of our connection - Mathieu

Austin

  • Sponsorship packages for demtool wyrks and agile will be sent this week

General Notes

General Updates

Arm Issues and New tasks

  • 3D printed camera mount failed, needs to be reprinted

  • Gear meshing for the wrist is loose, needs to be fixed

  • Elbow backlash is pretty bad, needs to be investigated and a fix should be implemented

  • All motors should be 24V (right now, the turntable, shoulder and elbow motors are 12 V)

  • Tooltip needs to be finalized and installed on the wrist

  • Design new 3D printed mounts for the arm pcbs

  • The goal is to have the arm functional so that fw and sw can test

Drivetrain Issues and New Tasks

  • The chain connecting the wheel to the gearbox broke. A new one was ordered and seems to be doing the trick. More spares to be ordered

  • Tires need to be changed

  • Gearbox gear shattered, another one sheared pretty bad. We need to order more.

  • New encoder mounts need to be designed and 3D printed

Gimbal Issues and New Tasks

  • The lack of bearings in the design is making the assembly very loose, with a lot of play between the parts.

  • A redesign of the camera carriage is needed, with the roll axis removed. Keep in mind the camera cable coming out the back
