General Notes

  • add looseness so that alignment is not an issue

  • over size clearance holes

  • another piece used for allignment on the U piece, not the U piece itsself

  • limitation might not be the inertia, but the friction instead

  • maybe make the top part milled
  • remove top piece - top piece to shield from sun

  • top flange increases stiffness, C channel?

  • remove all that space between the bushings on the side

  • clevis pins are not great for controlling length

  • metal super market for C channel?

  • the main U bracket -> C channel?

  • if stick to sheet metal make top part flat for fixturing

  • zip tie wire management is sick - very good

  • lock washer for the fasteners? torque make bring them off

  • vibration reduce preload on fasteners - try to inhibit this loctite or lock washer

  • slit lock washers suck, dont work well

  • where to mount pcb?

  • where there is least movement

  • at the bottom

  • mount at source so wire harness is smaller

  • right at bottom of motor

  • bottom of the 3D printed U part (on temp mount)

  • if it was only spinning +- 90, would put on the 

  • more relief around the bends on the camera bracket -> to give demtool more space to bend

  • this is so they have space to stick their tool in better

  • make more space on the bottom so it doesnt start at the edge (so it doesnt peel up)

  • RELIEF CUTS -> for when a bend is not the full length of the base

  • rotational bend off the mounting of the camera NOT the back of the camera

  • one less bend between mounting on rotation

  • remove top flange completely, different sun shield?

  • change shape to bottom U, no backing need, no top needed, simplier -> 2 bends only
