• Initial concepts and revisions of hub to CF attachment cad

• Weight of joints for 4&6-wheel design 

  • Using preliminary CAD we can tell how much some hub components weigh, 
    Talk about it more at drive train meeting

• Working on 4-Wheel CAD

• Figure out how to attach hub motor

• One possible tensioner idea for science (Alaina working on alternatives)

• Member training lesson 1 was pretty good

• Read & screenshot wheel doc

• Cheese for science elevator (once tensioner is on)

• Pitch and roll sitting on a bolt/nut

• Battery research (lower priority)

Spot welding : stronger connection, more surface area, hotter, could damage battery

Wire bonding : more resistance, wire acts as fuse, less damage to battery during assembly

Thermal management system? Wavy pipes? (patent20110212356)

Simply buy a bunch of single cells. Add them up in series till we get our desired voltage. Then stack them in parallel.

• Gimbal review tonight

• Clean up motor sheets.

• Do some calculations on the motors to confirm loads

• Work with electrical to see PCB final size. Right now 2”x2” square

• If we’re continuing with a custom battery, will need to know max dimensions.

• Contact TQ, arranged meeting

• Drivetrain tube connector design 

• Define drivetrain constraints and requirements in system doc

• Review prelim drive train wheel with Nathan M (everyone welcome) (may not happen for a while)

• Sort out E-box wiring, use info to order connectors

• Finish reading unidirectional composite material properties, estimate structural member sizes

• Need to re-upload solver installation packages to MEGA drive 

Cole

• E-box lid design

• Integrate new slip ring (quick change to a printed part)

• Review lid design with… (I guess we could do this tomorrow during connector panel meeting?)?

• Design e-box connector panel 

  • Meeting w David tomorrow

• Make sure EE validates slip-ring

• Finished a rough version of PCB integration for science (pending approval?)

  • PCB mounting solutions - message tony when at that stage

• Finished rocker hub version with more OTS components

• Pending design review at drive train meeting for Wednesday

• Finished adding shovel to science assembly

• Did shovel torque calculations

  • Pending review

• Talked to electrical about connectors and wiring for e-box

• Have meeting with Cole about e-box connectors

• Finalize layout for e-box components

• Re-design bottom plate for science to have mount for science

• Looking for more work (drivetrain/looking for something more technical) - hopefully something I can finish by September
