Points Discussed:
Presented ideas for seals on test tubes
First idea - pizza
A full lid that rest 1/16th above the test tubes
Pros
Simplistic design?
No hooks
Cons
Limited motion of mixing?
Second Idea
Similar to old design
No center pole
Lid rotates to expose 1 tube, as needed
Pro
No hook aka no binding
Good seal
Con
Seal potentially may be overkill/unnecessary (may be toned down so that it’s just a cover)
Funnel top + First Idea
Funnel top helps dirt stay in the test tube even more
Pros
All passive
Secure
Cons
potentially limits flow
Needs more testing
NOTE __ CENTRIFUGE IS MIXER OFFICIAL NAME CHANGE??????? <_> >.<
Shovel
Old Shovel
Did not collect enough dirt
New shovel - double shovel
Theoretically collects more dirt, and also supposedly drops dirt more efficiently/smoothly
Mount bearings to make motion more smooth
Shovel is likely too big (when considering the amount of dirt that would be picked up)
Difficult three D print
Prototype needed
Linkages need to be tested, shovel can always be changed
Moment calculating needed
Chain for elevator mechanism or Tensioning Belt
Need a camera on mech to see test tubes to analyze
