OLIS Access in Accuro

Ontario Laboratories Information Systems (OLIS) is a lab query system. It imports lab results from disparate sources in Ontario and presents them in a standardized way in Accuro. Instead of waiting for lab results to be imported, you can view them earlier using OLIS. Lab results will still be imported from LifeLabs as usual, but this gives you advanced access by pulling those labs into your Labs inbox in Accuro.

 To perform an OLIS query in Accuro

  1. Login to Accuro.

  2. Click the Accuro menu, then choose Tools → Query OLIS labs.

  3. In the window that opens:

    1. Select the desired Provider (required).

    2. Select the desired Patient (required).

    3. Double-click to enter the desired start date (the start date is required but the end date is not).

    4. Click Search.

    5. Select desired labs to send.

    6. Click the Retrieve Selected Labs button.

    7. The Labs will now be in your Labs inbox in the Home section of Accuro for your review.

Add an OLIS Query Button

To easily access OLIS, you can add an Action button to it in your Actions bar.

  1. Click the Accuro menu button and choose File → User Preferences.

  2. Click Display.

  3. Click the Configure Actions tab.

  4. Uncheck Only Show Primary Actions.

  5. Use the Action Search field to search for OLIS.

  6. Click the Query OLIS Labs option and then click the Add button to move it under Selections.

  7. Use the blue arrow buttons to rearrange your Selections.

  8. Click Apply then OK to close User Preferences.
