Sign a document received from HealthMail

Students are sometimes required to sign and send back a document via HealthMail which then requires a witness to sign the document.

Here's how to sign the document as a witness after it has been received from the student via HealthMail and then put it into the student's chart. 

  1. Login to Accuro.

  2. Open the Patients module and search for the student.

  3. Open the EMR module and switch to the Virtual Chart tab.

  4. Find and open the HealthMail item in the Virtual Chart.

  5. Click the link in the HealthMail to the completed document. This will likely be the latest one created by the student.

  6. In the window that opens, click Save As and save the document to your computer temporarily (e.g., in your Downloads folder).

  7. Click Open. If prompted to choose a program, select Adobe Acrobat or Adobe Reader.

  8. In Adobe Acrobat/Reader, click Fill & Sign.

  9. Sign the document.

  10. Open File Explorer and put the document into the L: drive in a scanning folder (e.g., Specialized-Care-Scans).

  11. Go back to Accuro and open the Documents module.

  12. Click the blue folder icon at the bottom and open the corresponding S: drive folder where you put the document in the L: drive (e.g., Specialized-Care-Scans).

  13. Select the document and upload it to the student's chart.

CRITICAL: You MUST open File Explorer and delete the document you saved in Step 6.
