Firmware

  • Continuing to develop the test app for the drivetrain

    • Current issue: Nucleo cannot connect to 3 odrives. Potenial solutions are:

      • Alternative connector splicing may be possible (to be determined)

      • Use the jetson instead of nucleo boards for test app (requires CAN module to be ready, or put ROS1 on the Jetson for now for testing purposes)

      • Test with 4 wheel drive instead of 6

      • Freeze drivetrain testing while CAN module is updated for ROS2 on Jetson, and pivot into arm testing (only need control support for single motor)

Software

  • Introducing Keyon as a new SW lead for this term! Welcome

  • Jetson is currently in ROS1 with all ROS1 installed

    • ROS1 should be good to go to continue with odrive testing, but need to fully vet out this option

  • Keyon is working on getting the Jetson to set up ROS2 - two to three weeks out on development
