RICOH - Adding RICOH Printers Directly to Windows Device

Purpose

To add the printer you’ll need it’s IP Address https://nxsartsapp.uwaterloo.ca/Reports/AuthenticatedPrinterInfo/ArtsPrintersMain.html or Ricoh - Obtaining IP Address of a RICOH Printer

 Instructions

  1. Verify the RICOH Printer model and download the corresponding PCL6 Driver Ricoh Driver:

    1. Model = IM C3010 - URL: IM C3000/C3500 Downloads | Ricoh Global

    2. Model = IM C5000 - URL: IM C4500/C6000 Downloads | Ricoh Global

  2. Run to unzip in your c:\temp folder

  3. Open Settings>Bluetooth and Devices and click Add Device

     

  4. Click Add Manually

  5. Click Add printer using IP address or hostname then click Next:

     

  6. Add the Select Device type as TCP/IP, add the IP address, uncheck Query the printer … and click Next:

     

     

  7. From the Drop Down menu select the Ricoh C Model:

     

  8. Click Have Disk on the next popup and browse to the location you unzipped the Ricoh drivers:

     

  9. Under the r01294L1a folder > select disk1 > select r4600.inf > Open

  10. Choose PCL6 V4 Driver for Universal Print and click Next

  11. Rename the printer to its hostname and click next:

     

     

  12. Make sure that the Do not Share radio button is selected. Click Finish on the next popup
