HP - Adding HP Colour LaserJet Proto Windows Device

Purpose

Install printer drivers to print from a printer on the network.

Procedures

 Instructions

  1. Confirm and obtain printer’s IP Address

  2. Confirm make/model and download driver

  3. Run > double-click

  4. Under Launch HP Installer > select Yes

  5. Open Settings>Bluetooth and Devices and click Add Device

     

  6. Click Add Manually

  7. Click Add printer using IP address or hostname then click Next:

     

  8. Add the Select Device type as TCP/IP, add the IP address, uncheck Query the printer … and click Next:

     

     

  9. From the Drop Down menu select the Ricoh C Model:

     

  10. Click Have Disk on the next popup and browse to the location you unzipped the Ricoh drivers:

     

  11. Under the r01294L1a folder > select disk1 > select r4600.inf > Open

  12. Choose PCL6 V4 Driver for Universal Print and click Next

  13. Rename the printer to its hostname and click next:

     

     

  14. Make sure that the Do not Share radio button is selected. Click Finish on the next popup
