Drivetrain Firmware:
Starting to config the drivetrain motors
Currently dealing with a bug with the encoders (potential fix in progress, this week would probably be sufficient to address the issue)
Currently finding problems with the drivetrain motor shafts
Encoder magnet has sheared off
Hall sensor feedback has not been successful up to this point
Nico was working on drivetrain wheels last term and had an odrive with breakout board soldered on
Nico, Keyon, Joshua, David and Bishneet met with Cindy to figure out CAN Bus logistics
PDB Reduced Viability Plan:
In good shape for actual logistics (everything that needs to be ordered has been ordered)
Roll out wiring + battery this week
Science-Mechanical Assembly:
Get footage of sensor head deployment and readout this week
Footage outside (if possible, definitely preferred)
Science mech onboard rover
Test ninhydrin tests on board rover - clare plus science person
Test baseline suction of current fan
Other Mech Updates:
Gavin finishing CDR by tomorrow
Yuming is working on arm camera mount
Start working on arm POT controller
Software:
Colin working on CAN interface on Jetson side
ODrive CAN protocol getting spun up
Start pinging SAR comms system
Comms:
