Firmware:

  • Getting low level controls working for ODRIVES

  • In parallel starting to write actual FW code (sending and receiving CAN messages, how to set up actuator control code, etc.)

  • Currently blocked on RS422 breakout board for drivetrain motor control

    • Electrical currently working on creating and validating a new board to support testing

PDB Reduced Viability Plan:

  • Only question left is how do we power the gimbal

    • Search up nominal voltage and current draw for gimbal motor

    • Search up nominal voltage and max current for zed2

    • combine as ballpark power

  • Rayyan working on ordering a 17V buck

  • Farris found a LiPo charger to be used with a BMS

    • Will mainly be figuring out how to set up BMS and charge

Science--Mechanical Assembly:

  • Drill and elevator assembly should be ready

  • Test tube rack is being partially redesigned (fan, manifold)

    • Focus on doing a better redesign of the air manifold later

Other Mech Updates:

  • Arm: Encoder magnet was found

  • Gimbal stand: Gavin is done the design

Software:

  • Drivetrain simulation still messed up - currently in progress

  • Xbox controller hardware interface assigned to a new member

  • 2 new members currently finished training

  • Meshva has PR up for arm controller - it looks great right now (in simulation!!!)

  • Andrew still working on hardware interface (read issues)

  • Collin working on updating old ROS package for CAN interface between Jetson and nucleo

    • Very close

  • Nico and Cheng working on autonomy

    • Can starting writing behaviour tree for robot soon

  • Edward assigned to VectorNav soon

Comms:

  • David has questions for Melvin and potentially Boston University
