Task Description
A new battery mount needs to be design for our 2023 rover
The battery for the rover is a large 44.4V LiPo battery contained in a fireproof LiPo bag. The battery contained within this bag should be mounted on the rover.
The battery was originally planned to mount underneath the ebox, to minimize the CG and roughly balance out the heavy mass of the arm with a rear weight, although this decision may need to be revisited. (Note, include picture of rough mounting position)
A mount should be designed to satisfy the following criteria:
Securely contains battery and LiPo bag
Mounts to existing rover chassis
Minimizes moments on differential bar; keeps total CG of rover as close to the floor as possible
Protects battery from being hit or impacted by any environmental stimuli
Task Breakdown
Prerequisites
This task has no prerequisites. Both the battery and LiPo bag are currently stored within the bay.
