Task Description

Need to assemble the SPI LVDS host and peripheral boards and verify that they can properly send and receive SPI signals.


Task Breakdown


Locate the assembled host boards (2 or 3)
Locate the PCB and parts for the host boards
PCBs found
If parts cannot be found we will just order new ones
Order parts for host boards
Order boads for peripheral boards
Order parts for peripheral boards
Locate the PCB and parts for the peripheral boards
If the PCBs cannot be found we will just order new ones
If the parts cannot be found we will just order new ones
Create a test plan for the host/peripheral boards in confluence (EX: https://uwaterloo.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/UWRT/pages/42924999239 )
Assemble one of the peripheral boards and test it with the host board
Assemble 6 peripheral boards total, 4 for competition and 2 for back-up
Assemble 6 host boards, 4 for competition, 2 for back-up

Prerequisites

  • From what I understand, there are 7 encoders on the ARM, we need 1 peripheral board per two encoders and 1 host board per peripheral board.

  • Need something to generate a SPI signal

  • Need to locate the boards

  • Sep 21, 2022 Found 4 assembled host boards and 8 blank boards but no parts.
