Jira Ticket after Prior Term copy has run

Prior Term Copy has been run for the Fall 2024 term this morning which means we now would like to have the 1249 term added to the drop down menu on the following Schedule of Classes pages:

Undergraduate Schedule of Classes

Graduate Schedule of Classes

Could you please add 1249 to the drop down menu on both these pages?

Once that’s finished can you please place this Jira in the scheduling queue so they can change the wording on both the Grad and Undergrad schedule of classes:

From: Note: Spring 2024 information is PRELIMINARY and subject to change.

To: Note: Fall 2024 information is PRELIMINARY and subject to change.

And also:

From: Term (1235=Spring 2023, 1239=Fall 2023, 1241=Winter 2024, 1245=Spring 2024)

To: Term (1239=Fall 2023, 1241=Winter 2024, 1245=Spring 2024, 1239=Fall 2024)

The term being added is handled by the Systems team, the notes being changed on the SoC are done by someone on the scheduling team.

 

  • Adding a term in the Drop down menu 

  • When a JIRA is submitted asking for a new term in the schedule of classes 

  • Sign into Quest → SARecord 

  • Waterloo Students Admin → Utilities → Interfaces → Schedule of Classes to HTML 

  • Whatever is in the Third position on the list is the default for the menu item on the web schedule of classes. Add the new term at the bottom and save. 

  • "UWCIRHTM" is the run control in Sarecord 

  • Delete the top row and add the bottom row. Save (don't run)
