Busylight

Kuando Busylights UC Omega (Amazon link) have been purchased for CSRs to indicate when they are on/off the phone.

Use

  1. Launch the program from the desktop shortcut.

  2. The program is hidden in the taskbar so you’ll need to click the ^ on the taskbar to find it. Right-click to access the menu if you need to change any of the settings.

  3. When you open Skype for Business (S4B), the Busylight will show the appropriate colour based on your status in S4B.

    1. Green = Available (not on a call)

    2. Red = Busy (on a call)

    3. Blue flashing = A call is incoming

    4. Yellow = Away

    5. Purple = Do not disturb

  4. If you wish, you can manually change the colour by setting your status in S4B.

Setup and Configuration

These instructions are for IT only. Please submit a ticket if you require assistance in downloading the program.

  1. Plug the Busylight into a USB port on the computer or docking station that will use it.

  2. Install Busylight for Skype for Business software using Busylight4SFB_Setup64.msi found in SharePoint > Tech Support Resources > Applications and Drivers > Busylight.

  3. Once installed, open the program with the desktop shortcut that is auto-created.

  5. From the menu:

    1. Turn the sound off by setting it to Mute.

    2. Set the colour to Red for Busy in a call.

    3. Turn off the ability for the Busylight to flash if the user is already on the phone.
