Configure Windows 10 Mail with Connect

Step-by-step guide:

  1. Click on the Start menu and then click on the Mail app or search for the Mail app in the Windows search bar.

  2. Go to Settings icon on the bottom left and then click on Manage Accounts.

  3. Select + Add account

  4. Click Advanced Setup (at the bottom)

  5. Click Exchange ActiveSync and enter the following details as listed below. Note that the username is your 8-character UWaterloo username (e.g. j25rober)

    1. ​Email address: username@uwaterloo.ca

    2. Password: password

    3. User name: username

    4. Domain: nexus

    5. Server: connect.uwaterloo.ca

    6. Select the server requires encrypted (SSL) connection option

    7. Account name: this name is used to label the inbox. Select a name of your choosing

  6. Click Sign-in.

 

It may take some time for messages to be synchronized.
