Motor Experimental Testing Design
Motor Experimental Testing Design
Goals:
Identify that the motor is able to achieve its nominal torque
Identify a maximum torque capacity of the motor and a related duty cycle without damaging equipment.
Characterize the current-torque behaviour
of the motor to determine if the motor’s dynamic torque output can be interpolated using the rated torque constant.
Torque will be read form the dynamometer
Phase current of the motor will be read using the ODrive
Data will be synchronized and compared in real time
Possibly define a new torque constant that better models the loading of the motor at 24V
Obtain parameters required to model motor with in SimulationX
Might have to interpolate graph based on attainable torque input resolution
