How to Add Objects Into Jira Assets

Make sure you have all your attributes set up BEFORE you start making objects.

Creating an Object

  1. Click on the schema where you want the object to be in.

  2. Press create an object in the top right.

  3. Fill out:

    1. Change the icon to what you’d like.

    2. Fill out all areas of text (name, and any attributes that you had set).

    3. If you are continuing to upload multiple items, you can check off create another to keep the creation screen open. Uncheck when you are done.

  4. Click Create.

Changing Name or Any Attribute Descriptions

  1. Click on the schema where you want the object to be in.

  2. Locate the object that you want to change.

  3. Select the three dots in the right of the screen when you hover over the object.

  1. Select open.

  2. Select the text of whichever attribute you’d like to edit and change it.

  3. Click back to list view when you are done.

Copy an Object

  1. Click on the schema where you want the object to be in.

  2. Locate the object that you want to clone.

  3. Select the three dots in the right of the screen when you hover over the object.

 

  1. Select Clone

Delete an Object

  1. Click on the schema where you want the object to be in.

  2. Locate the object that you want to delete.

  3. Select the three dots in the right of the screen when you hover over the object.

 

  1. Select open.

  2. Click the 3 dots in the righthand corner and click delete.
