How to Use Jira Assets (Searching & Filtering)
If someone is accessing a specific Jira Assets page for the first time, they need to set up the view & search otherwise it will not work properly.
Setting Up the Schema Search
Click on the schema you would like to search in.
Click the Search this schema.
Search anything. This is a filler as we need to pull up this screen.
In “Showing results that match” go through and check off the boxes that correlate with what attribute you want to search by.
IF IT IS NOT CHECKED OFF, THE RESULTS WILL NOT FILTER IT.
An example:
I want to search by names and alternative names, only so I would only check off those two.
Now, when you search, it will search by information too.
It will pull up the object that has that associated information.
Click on the one you are looking for, and it will display all the information in a page.
Setting up Columned View
Click on the schema you would like to search in.
Click on the three rectangle icon next to filter. It is in the top right corner.
It will show this pop-up.
From here, you can customize the view to your liking.
Check off things you want to see in the row.
Uncheck off things you don’t want to see.
Organize the order to your liking by moving the checked up and down via the dots.
This is an example of what it could look like:
To open the details of an object, click on whichever one you are looking for.
