Installing Kenesto Drive

Note, the Kenesto Drive client can only be installed on a native Windows PC. If you are using bootcamp on a Mac, you will only be able to use the web dashboard.

 

  1. After the mechanical lead (@Saheed Quadri , @Yu-Ming He ) has added you to our organization on Kenesto, you should have received an email like below:

  1. Clicking on the link in the email will re-direct you to the following page:

  1. After creating your account, you should be able to log into the web dashboard. Click on “Install Kenesto Drive”:

  1. Run the executive program you downloaded and follow through the prompts on the screen.

  2. After the installation is complete, you will have to add the following exclusion rules to Windows Security:

    1. Navigate to the Window Security Dashboard and click on “Virus & threat protection”

    2. Click on “Manage settings” under Virus and threat protection settings

    3. Scroll down and click “Add or remove exclusions”

    4. Add the following folder and process exclusions

  1. Install the Solidworks Add-in here. The password is “Kenesto2019!”.
