2.1 Getting an Altium License

In order to use our team PCB design software, Altium, you will need a license. Sometimes our team will have team sponsorships you can use but it’s important you have your own license in case we run out or our team license expires. To obtain a FREE student license, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Altium Student Lab - Free Licensing, Tools, and Resources for Students

  2. Submit the form on the right with your student email

  3. Keep an eye on your student email inbox (don’t forget to check spam/other folder) for a verification email. Click on the verify link.

  4. Once you have verified your email you should receive another email shortly with your license information. Follow the steps listed in the email.

  5. Once you have received this email please proceed to: 2.2 Downloading Altium and Activating License
