Battery Charging FAQ

Q: What is the difference between using and not using a battery management system(BMS)?

A: A battery or battery pack consists of a set of smaller battery cells connected in series and parallel. While these cells are highly standardized, each cell has some variation in its electrical properties which can cause some cells to charge or discharge faster than others. Therefore, it is crucial to use BMS to maintain a constant charge level across all the cells to prevent any cell from overcharging or discharging. A BMS can have many features that help optimize battery life and control the temperature.

Q: What is the safe way to charge the battery?

A: First, do not touch the metal connector during the charging. Make sure the charger power is not on when plugging in the battery.

Second, Please follow all the safety instructions for charging a battery and make sure there are always people nearby during the charging.

Thirdly, please ensure the charger has BMS functionality provided and then charge the battery. Do not directly charge the lipo battery to a charger, it will definitely reduce its lifetime.

Q: Any other concerns?

A: Please add safety labels to the battery and always follow the safety instruction provided. Make sure that people are available nearby when the charging process is underway in case something goes wrong. Make sure to use a BMS when charging the battery.
PLEASE USE A SAFETY BATTERY BAG TO STORE AND TRANSPORT THE BATTERY.
