Assessment Icons

When looking through LEARN, you will come across various icons when setting up Quizzes, the Gradebook, Rubrics, Dropboxes, and Accommodations. Each icon’s name will usually display when you hover your mouse over it.

Quiz icons

These icons are used in various situations when setting up a quiz.

Students are not able to see the quiz.

Release conditions icon

Release conditions icon

There are conditional requirements that need to be met by the students before gaining access to the quiz.

Special access icon

There are students who have access that is different from others, such as a longer time to complete the quiz.

Password protected icon

The quiz requires a password before students can start it.

Grade item icon

The quiz is associated with a grade item in the Gradebook.

Do not confuse the special access icon with the password-protected icon.

Dropbox icons

These icons are used when setting up a dropbox.

Students are not able to see the dropbox.

Release conditions icon

There are conditional requirements that need to be met by the students before gaining access to the dropbox.

Special access icon

There are students who have access that is different from others, such as an extended due date.

Group submission icon

This is a group dropbox. It will be marked by group name or number and the same score and feedback will be released to each student in the group.

Grade item icon

The dropbox is associated with a grade item in the Gradebook.

Gradebook icons

These icons are used when setting up the Gradebook.

Availability icon

The grade will only be available to view for a specific time.

Rubric icons

These icons are used when setting up an assessment rubric.

Rubric association icon

The rubric has been associated with another assessment item and cannot be deleted.

Rubric linked assessment icon

 The rubric has already been used to grade the linked assessment hence it can neither be deleted nor edited.

Accommodation icon

These icons are used when looking at the Classlist.
