Microsoft Teams – Logging in with a UWaterloo Account

  1. Open Microsoft Teams

  2. Click on your account image at the top right hand corner

  3. Choose Sign Out in the menu

  4. Once fully signed out, enter in your UWaterloo account in email format and then click Sign In

    1. Your UWaterloo account is an 8 character ID assigned to you, ex. “anwester”

    2. In the account field you’d enter your account ID + “@uwaterloo.ca

    3. Ex. anwester@uwaterloo.ca

    4. NOTE: Friendly email addresses will not work

  5. Enter in your password in the password field and click Sign in

  6. Authenticate your 2FA

  7. Click OK in the following window

  8. NOTE: If you receive the following error, press Continue. Teams will still log in if your username and password were successful
