Tips for using the projectors
For teaching assistants and professors connecting to the projectors in the Faculty of Environment computer labs:
Each teaching lab has a slightly different setup for using the projector. Follow these tips, or ask the ETIS Help Desk in advance for assistance.

Guide to use the projector in Geddes Lab (EV2 Room 1002A)
Note that the projector can only be controlled from one workstation. This workstation will be the one closest to the projector.
Before your first lab
Get the door lock combination from your instructor or ask for it at the ETIS Help Desk.
Make sure that you can logon to one of the computers in the lab.
If you can’t logon make sure that the ETIS Help Desk knows that you are a teaching assistant (TA) in a course that uses the lab.
Familiarize yourself with the computers and the features of the room.
At the end of each lab session:
Make sure that you turn off the projector. On the projector remote, press off twice. The green light on the projector will blink while it is cooling down.
Log off your computer! Don’t leave any digital or printed answer keys for your students!
Make sure that you close the door when you leave. If you are the last one leaving the room, turn off the lights.
If you have technical issues, Please submit a request to the ETIS Jira Queue. If you need help after hours or on the weekends, contact IST Service Desk.
