Setting up printer settings for Mac

Follow these steps if the printer is not printing any documents on Mac due to the restriction on colored printing. These steps are only applicable if you belong to the SEED or PLAN group.

lpadmin -p env_plan_prt4 -o ColorModel=Gray

SEED

env-seed-prt3

lpadmin -p env_seed_prt3 -o ColorModel=Gray

  1. From LaunchPad, search and open Terminal.

  2. Depending on which printer you are connected to, copy and paste the corresponding command line into the terminal, as listed in the table above. For example, if you were connected to the env-plan-prt4 printer, type into the terminal:

    lpadmin -p env_plan_prt4 -o ColorModel=Gray

  3. Press Enter on your keyboard.
