Need Help?
A technician is available on campus from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday in Room 2017. Each tutorial room is outfitted with a Help Desk intercom system located on the wall near the computer monitor. Press the Help Desk button and a technician will respond to your request.
Starting a Projection
Locate the Crestron icon on the computer’s desktop and double-click the icon to launch the application. The Crestron application will allow you to operate the AV System in the AV media rack. When the Crestron window opens, choose Local Presentation. Instructors only need to enter/enable Local Presentation mode. The other mode is ONLY configured/enabled by the on-campus technician.
If the Creston window fails to open (shows up blank/white), simply close the window and relaunch it. | |
This is option is for the Windows 10 PC mounted within the AV rack. When loading a presentation to the PC from a USB drive, available USB ports may be present on the side of the monitor. Alternatively, cloud storage or email is a great alternative option to USB transfers and can be accessible via any Web Browser on the PC.
This option is for connecting a laptop to the AV System. An available HDMI port can be located on podium under the monitors. If you do not have a HDMI cable, WRC has a small supply of cables and adapters that can help you get connected to the tutorial room’s AV system. See the technician if a HDMI cable or adapter is needed.
To play a DVD or Blu-Ray, you will need access to the Blu-Ray player mounted within the AV rack. When you select the Blu-ray player as a media source, the player will power on and the controls will appear on the left side of the Crestron application window.
To connect a device wirelessly, click “Wifi Casting”. An AirMedia splash screen will appear on the projected screen with instructions on how to connect your device. Locate the IP address (172.26.XXX.XXX) at the top left corner of the screen and enter that address into your device’s web browser. You will be prompted to download and install an application on your computer. Once you have launched the downloaded application you will be prompted for a passcode which is located at the top right corner of the AirMedia screen.
Lecture Hall Microphones
The lecture hall has three types of microphones available to the session speaker. A gooseneck microphone is mounted to the podium and should be used as the primary microphone. However, a lapel microphone and a handled cardioid microphone can both be found on their charging bases within the podium. To activate either of the portable microphones, simply remove the microphone from its base and allow a few seconds for the microphone to sync with the AV system. Once synced, the microphone should be operational.
System Shutdown
Once you are finished with the AV System, press the “Shutdown” button within the Crestron window & confirm the shutdown on the following window prompt. Finally, SIGN OUT of your MAC ID within Windows.
