About this service
University of Waterloo faculty, staff and students can access web-based training from LinkedIn Learning using their username and password. Limited access is available to new graduates and alumni. This training complements IST's IT Professional Development (ITPD) program. For example, you may want to learn Microsoft Excel in a lab setting through the ITPD program and then learn more advanced features as you need them through LinkedIn Learning. LinkedIn Learning is also an excellent resource to learn about the new features in an application.

Unlimited access to online courses available 24x7
Courses for all levels that cover technical skills, creative techniques, business strategies, and more
Top experts who are passionate about teaching
Watch from your computer, tablet, or mobile device. Switch back and forth as you choose
Create and save lists of courses you want to watch, and share them with friends or colleagues
Content Mapping service (learn more below)
Content Mapping
A free service provided by LinkedIn, their staff will select relevant videos and training based on a topic, skills, or competencies you provide in the mapping document.
Complete the Content Mapping spreadsheet (file below) and submit to njennings@uwaterloo.ca, who will submit to the LinkedIn Learning team on your behalf.
The turnaround time for this service is approximately 2-3 weeks.
