Recovering accidentally deleted email - Connect/Exchange

When you delete an email it is temporarily stored in your Deleted Items folder in your Connect email account. When you empty your Deleted Items folder, the items emptied can be recovered within 30 days of being deleted.

Step-by-Step 

  1. Log on to Connect at connect.uwaterloo.ca using your 8 character UWaterloo username (e.g. j25rober) and password.

  2. Open the Deleted Items folder.

  3. Right-click on the Deleted Items folder and from the tools menu choose Recover deleted items.


  4. Select the email to recover (you can sort by Sender, Subject, etc by clicking on the Column headings).

  5. Click 'Recover' at the top.
