Enable Email forwarding from your Microsoft 365 Outlook account
Gmail Send-as and similar features provided by other third party mail clients will no longer function. To send mail as a UWaterloo address, it will be necessary to log into the inbox directly or use a mail client that can add accounts from multiple services.
Enable Email Forwarding
Step-by-Step
Open a web browser and navigate to https://outlook.office.com
Login using your UW userid and password
Click on the Gear icon, in the top right hand corner of the window, to enter settings
Under the Mail section, click Forwarding
Click the slider to Enable forwarding
In the “Forward my email to:” box, enter the email address that you would like to forward your email
Its important to note that a copy of forwarded messages will always be kept in your inbox. This is policy.
Click the Save button and close the settings window
10. Test the forwarding by sending an email to you @uwaterloo.ca email address and ensure that it is delivered to the email address that you entered above

Open a web browser and navigate to https://outlook.office.com

Click on the Gear icon, in the top right hand corner of the window, to enter settings
Under the Mail section, click Forwarding
Click the slider to disable forwarding
Click the save button and close the window
