H5P Interactive Content

H5P is an open-source online learning authoring tool that enables educators to create and edit interactive videos, presentations, games, and more. Once created, this interactive content may be linked to from a website or web resource, or embedded directly into a LEARN course.

eCampus Ontario provides free use of H5P to Ontario educators via its H5P Studio platform.

The Centre for Extended Learning supports Waterloo instructors in the use of eCampus Ontario’s H5P Studio and has produced this H5P Studio Quick Start Guide. This guide provides information on how to:

• explore post-secondary examples of H5P content;

• register for an account with the eCampus Ontario H5P Studio at no cost;

• create your own H5P content;

• adapt content from the H5P Studio Catalogue; and

• embed your content into your LEARN course.
