Tuque Installation

The package is called EcE Altera Quartus 18.1 STD.

License

In order for Intel to issue an academic license, we must be part of the Intel FPGA Academic Program. The application form for this program can be found here:

Managing License Administrators

  • Login to the Intel Self-Service Licensing Center.

  • From the menu bar, select AdminsView & Manage Admins.

Alterra/Logical Step Board Drivers

The Logical Step board uses the USB-Blaster driver that comes with Quartus.

Windows 10

The drivers for the USB-Blaster can be found at C:\software\Altera\15.1\quartus\drivers\usb-blaster

Windows 11

For Windows 11, we use the usb-blaster drivers that come with Quartus 23. A copy of the usb-blaster files is stored here:

E2-2363 (ECE-RTOS2) folder

Verification

After installation of the driver, it can be verified by opening the Quartus programmer. You should be able to select USB-0. This indicates that the driver was installed successfully.
