Set up your Friendly Email Address

A friendly email address is an alternate forwarding address that can be added to the list of emails attached to your waterloo email. Emails sent to your userid@uwaterloo.ca email address or your friendly email address will both direct to your uWaterloo inbox. Friendly addresses are typically: “firstname.lastname@uwaterloo.ca”

  1. Log into WatIAM here: https://idm.uwaterloo.ca/watiam/login.jsf?prompt=true

  2. Perform DUO Authentication

  3. Click Manage Email Settings

  4. Click the Friendly address radio button

  5. Click Submit
