Set up your Friendly Email Address

A friendly email address is an alternate forwarding address that can be added to the list of emails attached to your UWaterloo email.

Emails sent to either your WatIAM@uwaterloo.ca email address or your friendly email address will both be received in your UWaterloo inbox.

Friendly addresses are typically firstname.lastname@uwaterloo.ca.

To add your friendly email address:

  1. Log into WatIAM.

  2. Complete DUO two-factor authentication.

  3. Click Manage Email Settings.

  4. Click the Friendly address radio button.

  5. Click Submit.

Your friendly email address is now set up!
