Delete Your Outlook Mail Profile

Deleting your Outlook mail profile can be a quick fix for many different Outlook issues. This article will walk you through a few simple steps to get Outlook back on its feet!

Instructions

  1. Close Outlook if you have it open.

  2. In Windows, open the Start Menu, then search for and open Control Panel.

  3. In Control Panel, search for and open Mail. Sometimes it has the Outlook version name, that’s okay.

  4. Click Show Profiles, Add, then give your profile a fun name and click OK.

  5. Enter your name, email address, and password, click OK.

  6. Click Finish, select your new profile from the “always use this profile menu”, then click OK.

  7. Open Outlook.

Outlook signatures and other configuration will be lost when using a new profile. These can still be recovered from the old profile so long as you do not remove your old profile.
