Creating a Reservation
Click the “Bookings” tab from the top menu of the homepage.
Click the “Find Bookable Assets” tab to view the list of assets (and their asset information) available for booking.
Select the calendar icon and set the booking schedule (start/end dates and times) accordingly. Click the “Apply” button to save your settings.
Select the asset you want to book or reserve from the list. Use “ctrl + click” to add multiple assets to the selection, or “shift + click” to add a range of selections (i.e., clicking an asset and using “shift + click” on another will select all assets in between the two).
Click the “Book Selected Assets” button to create reservation for the selected assets.
On the Search Directory field, enter the userID of the user who wants to reserve the asset(s). Select the user from the drop-down and the autofill will automatically insert the user information into the form fields.
Make sure to enter the pickup location for the asset. The calendar will display all the asset bookings, colour-coded by pickup locations.
Click the “Make Reservation” button to save the booking.
The saved booking should now be visible on the reservations list under the “Find Reservations” tab.
Users will receive an email of confirmation for their booking. This email will contain the following information: booking ID, item(s) and item number(s), serial number(s), pickup location and date, and return date of the asset(s) they have booked or booked on their behalf.
Under the Calendar tab, all the bookings are displayed and are colour-coded by pickup location. If you hover on a specific booking entry, a popover will also show the booking information. You can also click on an individual booking to make updates or edits on the existing reservation.
