Arm system road blocker

Current issue:

  • Static calculation max torque is less than the motor can provide

  • Previous physical testing not valid less torque used than needed(limiting factor motor controller)

  • Max torque on confluence are stall torque but we need continuous torque

  • Dynamic torque simulation requires way higher than the motor spec even stall

    • solution?

      • weight reduction

        • needs evaluate on the easiest way

      • motor respec

      • more solution coming?

      • meeting with autsin and consulting with rishi. Need follow up meeting.

Terminology:

continuous torque: the amount of torque the motor can provide while still moving

Stall torque: the amount of torque the motor can provide cannot move

dynamic torque: the amount of torque the arm requires to move

static torque: the amount of torque the arm requires to hold the position
