About this service
IST provides site licensing to faculty and staff for many applications. See Licenced software at the University of Waterloo.
To be considered for a site license, the software must meet the following criteria.
The software can be used by faculty, staff and grad students.
The software is integral for people to do their job.
The software will be used by a significant portion of campus users.
Submit a licensing recommendation
To request a site license, please submit a business case and your request will be brought to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) for presentation to UCIST. If UCIST supports the recommendation, the CIO will request funding for the site license.
