Change your WatIAM password
This page provides instructions on how to change your WatIAM password. This is required for all UWaterloo users.
Additional resources are provided below for users whose email was migrated to M365.
How to reset your WatIAM password when you forget it
This article explains the process you need to go through when you forget your WatIAM password.
Step-by-step guide
Go to the WatIAM sign-in page.

Click on "Forgot Password?"
Input your username (max. 8 characters) with the password reset email address. If you do not remember this email address, please contact the IST Service Desk.
You will receive an email from watiam@uwaterloo.ca. Click on the link provided within the email to be taken to the password reset page.
All users
Ensure you are saving your files in OneDrive and not on your local machine. View the When to choose OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, or SharePoint Online guide.
Note about passwords
Passwords stored in Mac OS Keychains, and Microsoft Credential Manager may need to be updated as well:

Passwords embedded in any scripts/PowerAutomate will need to be updated

For mobile devices
You will need to forget the Eduroam wifi network from saved networks and reconnect with your new credentials. View the Eduroam connection guides .Â
