  6. Under Choose a block, navigate to Listing and select Waterloo News.

  7. If desired, enter a title. By default, the block title is Waterloo News. The title will appear as a block header if Display title is selected.

  8. Select Heading level.

    • Note: Headings must be used in sequence and cannot be skipped (i.e. H1, H2, H3, H2 and cannot be H1, H3, H5). Headings are necessary for accessible content.

  9. Under Feature item, paste the Waterloo News item URL from the Waterloo News site for the item you wish to feature.

    • Note: the URL must begin with “https://uwaterloo.ca/news/”

  10. Under Feature item position, select where the feature item will be displayed (Left or Right) when there are additional items.

  11. Select Custom background, if applicable. If not selected, the item will use the listing page image from Waterloo News as the background.

    1. If Custom background is selected, under Upload your image, select Add media

    2. There are two ways to add your image:

      • To use an existing image:

        • Find and select the image you wish to use, then select Insert selected. You may also search for the name of the desired existing image.

      • To add/upload new images:

        • Under Add file, select Browse and choose an image from your device.

        • Enter a Name and Alternative text.

          • Note: By default, the Name will be the same as the original file name.

        • If needed, Crop image and/or add a Caption.

          • Note: Crop image is not a cropping tool. It allows you to view what portion of the image will appear at different sizes.

  12. Under Additional items, you may enter up to three additional Waterloo News items. If desired, paste the Waterloo News item URL from the Waterloo News site for each wanted additional item.

  13. Under “View all” button select Show the “View all news” button, if applicable.

  14. Select Add block (or Update if it's a pre-existing block).
