File uploads are used to attach files such as PDFs to any page on the website. Common file types supported on WCMS 3 include bib, cvs, doc, docx, mp3, pdf, ppt, pptx, txt, xls, xlsx, and zip files.
Upload a file
From the administration bar, select Workbench, and then select My Dashboard.
Under Media, select Add next to File.
Add a Name.
Note: By default, the original file name will appear as the display text.
There are three ways to add your file:
Reference existing: Select a file that has already been uploaded to your site from the list on this tab. This prevents numerous copies of the same file from being uploaded and stored.
Upload: Find a file using the file browser to upload from your computer.
Remote URL: Enter the remote URL of the file you would like to reference.Â
Select Save.
Best practices: Avoid uploading numerous copies of the same file by searching for the file beforehand if you are unsure if it already exists on the website.
