Open and close a web form

A Web form can be configured to be open or closed for submissions. A Web form will be open for submission if the status of the form is open when creating the Web form. The form status can be changed through the Settings > Form tab of the Web form.

Configure the status of a Web form when creating a Web form

  1. From the administration bar, select Workbench, then select My Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Forms and select Add.

  3. Enter a Title.

  4. Enter the Administrative description, if applicable. 

  5. Select a Category, if applicable. 

  6. Select a Status. An open status will enable users to submit the form. A closed status will close the form to submissions until the form status is changed.

  7. Select Save.  

Open/Close a Web form for submissions after creating the form

  1. From the administration bar, select Workbench, then select My Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Forms list.

  3. In the Operations column, expand the drop-down menu of the desired form and select Settings.

  4. Select the Form sub-tab, under the Settings tab.

  5. In the Form general settings section, under Form status section, select Open or Closed.

  6. Navigate to the bottom of the page and select Save. 

Schedule a Web form to be open for submissions

  1. From the administration bar, select Workbench, then select My Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to the Forms list. 

  3. In the Operations column, expand the drop-down menu of the desired form and select Settings.

  4. Select the Form sub-tab. 

  5. Under Form general settings, in the Form status section, select Scheduled.

  6. Enter the form open date (YYYY/MM/DD) and time (Hour-Minute-Second-A.M/P.M).

  7. Enter the form close date (YYYY/MM/DD) and time (Hour-Minute-Second-A.M/P.M).

  8. Navigate to the bottom of the page and select Save. 

Note: Scheduled Web forms do not work for anonymous users when the Internal page cache module is enabled. It is recommended to install the cache control override module.
