Report Description

This report contains live summary and detailed information about individual endowment as of Fall 2019 (term 1209). It provides information about students who have opted out or who have "paid" the endowment fee.

Detail data can be exported as .csv for further manipulation and use by each of the endowment managers.

Data Security

This report is subject to the reporting access data control managed through a SharePoint linked list. All staff who have been identified to have access to student endowment data are linked individually to one or more specific endowments which they manage.

Report Contents

In these reports contains only students who are "Assigned Registered" i.e. defined by UW to have actually paid or have promised to pay to the satisfaction of the university
In these reports "Opted Out" means that students have actively engaged in Quest self-service and selected they do not want to contribute to this student endowment
In these reports "Not Opted Out" means either student has actively engaged in Quest self-service and did not choose to opt out of this particular endowment fee OR they have not actively engaged in optional fee in Quest self service either because they are unaware of the functionality or because they have decided not to opt out of any fees. They can be considered "paid" for endowment purposes.

This page provides user with summarized info regarding number of opt-out per term and some breakdown of data based on career and level.

(1) Student Summary

This visual provides a summary of count of students who had opted out or "paid" one or multiple endowments per term based on term(s) and endowment(s) selected in (4).

(2) Career Summary

This visual provides percentage of opt out or "paid" based on career. If the endowment is only charged to UG (undergraduate) or GRD (graduate) students then only those career will be displayed. The display's result reflects filters which are applied in (4).

(3) Level Summary

This visual provides percentage of opt out or "paid" students based on academic level. If the endowment is only charged to UG (undergraduate) then levels 1A-5C and NL (no level) are possible. If the endowment is charged only to Grd (graduate) students then D (Doctoral), M (Masters), GNL (Grad no level) are possible. The display's result reflects filters which are applied in (4).

(4) Selection Filter

Filter applicable to all the visuals include:

Term - single or multiple terms can be selected. Only Terms since Fall 2019 (1209) are available for selection as Optional fees project was implemented from this term forward. Only terms where the endowment were charged will be available for selection.
Endowment Fee - If the user has access to multiple endowments then they can select one or multiple endowments. Most users have access to only one endowment and this will still need to be selected to view the dashboard.

This page provides breaks down the percentage of opt-out based on term and then plan.

(1) Term Summary

This visual provides a relative % view of volume of students who has opted out or "paid" particular endowment(s) for term(s) based on selection filter made in (2). This can provide term over term comparison if user has selected multiple terms.

Drill down to academic plan from term information is possible by selecting drill-down and double clicking on a particular term. The graphic will update to reflect relative % view of volume of student who has opted out or "paid" particular endowment(s) for term as selected through the drill down process.

This page allows you see details of individual students who were charged the endowment fee that the user is authorized to manage.

(1) Report

This visual provides details of the students based on the filters applied in (2). The report can be sorted by any of the columns of the report in ascending or descending order.

The report data (post filtering) can also be exported as .csv for further off-line review and processing.
