Constant Sign-In Prompt for SharePoint

SharePoint can be a useful tool, but sometimes trying to sign in can feel like you’re banging your head against a wall if it keeps asking you for your login credentials. If you’re experiencing this problem then you’ve come to the right place!

Instructions

  1. Search for and open Credential Manager and select Windows Credentials. Remove any SharePoint accounts that are listed. If there are none, continue to the next step.

  2. Login to https://sharepoint.uwaterloo.ca/sites/CECAZONE using Internet Explorer and click the gear icon in the top right. Select Internet Options and then, under the Security tab, click Local Intranet and Sites.

  3. Select Advanced and type the following websites into the “Add this website to the zone:” field. Click Add after entering each one. Ensure the box labelled “Require server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone” is checked and then click Close.

    1. https://sharepoint.uwaterloo.ca

    2. https://sp16a.uwaterloo.ca

    3. https://mysharepoint.uwaterloo.ca

You can also attempt clearing your browser history and removing the saved password for SharePoint.
