The Arts Computing Office welcomes students, staff and faculty to approach us with any software issues. We provide support for software on Nexus and Arts faculty computers. Available software can be found below by operating system, department or computer lab.

Visit the IST Service Desk in either the Dana Porter or Davis Centre Libraries to obtain a podium key. 

Adobe CC is available to purchase at the W Store. Please look at Adobe Creative Cloud (CC) License Updates for information regarding cost savings.

Requesting Additional Software

If you are an Arts faculty member and wish to request additional software to be installed in Arts computer labs:

  • Obtain a legal license to publish a copy of the software on the Waterloo Nexus network from the software’s vendor.

  • Please fill in the Software Request form to request software for installation.

ACO needs at least 6 weeks advance notice for lab software. This allows time for packaging, testing and deploying. See requesting additional lab software for courses for more details.
