Set macOS default printing preferences to B&W

Since the print driver for macOS is sourced directly from Ricoh’s website, the default printing preferences are set to color printing. Enrolling in macOS management will automatically change the default printing preferences to black and white (B&W). To enroll your device in macOS management, please submit a ticket to ETIS. Personal devices are not eligible for enrollment in macOS management. This instruction provides a way to create a saved preset for conveniently printing in black and white (B&W).

  1. Open a Word document, click on File, and then Print.

  2. Scroll down to "Double-sided" and ensure it is "On".

  3. Click on Printer Options, and then Printer Features.

  4. Change Color Mode to "Black and White" and click OK.

  5. Scroll up to Presets, and change the selection to “Save Current Settings as Preset...”.
