Thickness/OD and Strength Relationship

Selections will be made for mechanical properties that satisfied the OD of 1.5" to 2" (32 to 50 mm) and variable thickness.

The plan is to see whether I can find a trend relationship between thickness/diameter and strength. If I can get a general relationship, I can use it to find optimal thickness and OD

Options for collecting info:

  1. Using Values to find relationship:
    1. Rock-West Composites has an extensive list of twill weave CFs, but with inconsistent values shown. I will try and find enough trends to create a relationship.
    2. McMaster-Carr Twill Weave CF - limited options but big list of info (mostly ranges):
      1. Example: 0.064" Thickness + 1.378" OD: https://www.mcmaster.com/5287T85/
  2. Contacted TA Regarding how to find relationship
    1. TA Conversation (please do not distribute attachments)
  3. Contacted other URC teams to ask how they reached their values (pending response)
