About this service

Your Waterloo Identity and Access Management (WatIAM) credentials provide access to University of Waterloo services such as Quest, LEARN, Workday, SharePoint, Nexus, and more.

Faculty, staff and students are assigned credentials (username and password) for logging in to these and other campus systems.

Who can use this service

Students, Graduate Students, Instructors, Faculty, Researchers, Staff, IT Support Staff

How to request this service

WatIAM credentials are provided automatically for all staff, faculty, and students.

Average length of time to complete request

  • To activate/deactivate WatIAM usernames: one hour (for phone requests) to one working day (for requests submitted through email or RT)

  • Password resets are normally done within one hour
