Safety Alarm Battery Change Procedure
Replacing Safety Alarm Batteries
The replacement of all Safety Alarm batteries is now coordinated each June by the Tech Team. You are not expected to change the batteries yourself.
If you find your safety alarm needs its batteries replaced after you test it, please submit a ticket to the Tech Team.
Remove the top cover by inserting a flat head screwdriver or a coin into the slot located on the bottom-right corner and twist.
Move switch to the off position and remove the small Phillips screw at the centre of the electronics board to expose the batteries underneath.
Replace both batteries with CR 2025 lithium batteries. Ensure the batteries match the polarity (+/-) for the slot where they are being placed.
Replace the electronics board and place screw in original location.
Return switch to the on position and put the unit cover back on.
