Overview

The two basic types of circuits that can be used to connect more than two components are parallel circuits and series circuits [1]. Combination circuits contain a combination of series and parallel circuits [2]. Analog circuits process analog data using analog components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, and transistors. Conversely, digital circuits process digital signals using mostly digital components such as logic gates, microcontrollers, and processors [3]. Mixed signal circuits contain a combination of analog and digital circuits.
