Step-by-step guide

  1. Download Skype for Business on Mac by clicking on the hyperlink.

  2. Install Skype for Business on Mac and keep clicking Continue until the setup is complete.

  3. Enter username@uwaterloo.ca (e.g. j25rober@uwaterloo.ca) as the sign-in address and your password. Click Continue.

  4. You will be successfully signed into Skype for Business.

Still having trouble logging in?

  1. If you are still having trouble signing in, click on Advanced Options.

  2. Enter nexus\username (e.g. nexus\j25rober) as the username and click ‘Save’.

  3. You will be returned to the sign-in window. Click Sign In again to log in.

Notes:

  • If there is a certificate issue, follow the steps listed in Fixing Skype for Business log in issues on Mac

  • The Skype for Business for Mac is not a fully supported client for Skype Queue agents and may experience issues in answering queue calls.
